• Aldershot and District Omnibuses Rescue and Restoration Society
  Assistance in the rescue and preservation of buses of the Aldershot & District Traction Company. The objectives of the charity are to provide historical and educational facilities showing the heritage of local bus transport in Hampshire & Surrey. Long term the charity would like to provide a museum and 'bus depot'. The charity currently has four single deck buses and 3 double deck bus. The single deck buses are a long term restoration project, their age being 90 years. These do show the engineering and woodworking skills of the past and will be a challenge to preservationists to restore.

• Friends Of King Alfred Buses (Winchester)
  Bus preservation group is dedicated to the memory of King Alfred Motor Services (1921-1973). 16 buses owned dating from 1931 to 1970, some still awaiting restoration. Buses are used for special events and members' trips. The main event is an annual running day (usually on 1st January) when preserved buses operate over the old routes of the 1950's and 1960's.   70 hovercraft to be restored and displayed for public education.

• Light Rail Transit Association (Southampton)
  Dating from 1937, the LRTA informs amateurs and professionals about modern tramways. Manchester, Sheffield, Birmingham, Croydon and Nottingham have recently re-introduced them. Local monthly meetings are held, usually in the form of slide shows of worldwide topics, aimed at the enthusiast.
