  • Ashton Singers
    The Ashton Singers are a chamber choir of about 36 singers, based in Winchester. We aim to perform choral music to a high standard from all periods, but specialise in Renaissance and Baroque music. We sing the services in Winchester Cathedral for a day each year and in other cathedrals from time to time.

    Basing Singers are a mixed choir of about 45 voices which practises and performs a wide range of music including oratorio, classical and modern choral works, light opera, songs from the shows, etc. Occasionally sub-groups perform madrigals and barbershop.

  • Basingstoke Area Youth Orchestras and Choirs
    Nine groups: The Basingstoke Area Youth String Orchestra, String Training Orchestra, Wind Orchestra, Training Wind Orchestra, Basingstoke Area Youth Percussion Ensemble, Tadley Area Youth Wind Band and Main Orchestra meet regularly & exist to provide training for young instrumentalists in orchestral playing. Membership of the main orchestra is by audition each July. There are no auditions for the Wind or String Orchestras. The Basingstoke Area Youth Choir and Junior Choir also offer vocal training & meet regularly during school terms.

  • Blue Sky Natural Voice Choir (Southampton)
    Songs from many different cultures are taught by ear, including gospel, folk and popular songs. Songs are sung with heartwarming harmonies and lively rhythms. There are regular community performances. No experience necessary. Physical and vocal warm ups help people to find their natural voice.

  • Cantrelle Singers (Ladies Choir, Portsmouth)
    We take part in concerts and festivals, singing a wide variety of songs from sacred music, folk songs to songs from the shows. We also have a strong social life with quiz evenings, variety shows, stalls and fundraising events. The choir is a very good place to make friends and music.

    Please ask for Irene if calling by telephone. We visit Care and Nursing homes, singing hymns and sing-alongs for people to join in. We visit and help the lonely. Coffee mornings. A group for the over 50's meets every Wednesday 2pm - 4pm, called 'Tea & Talktime'

  • St Vincent Singers
    The St Vincent Singers are a mixed community choir of some 40+ members. We provide 70 - 80 concerts per year for the local community and the proceeds from these concerts are given to such charities as MacMillan Nurses Appeal, Cancer Research, Save the Children. An 'Upmarket' concert party, we sing at weddings, retirement clubs and homes, churches etc and our repertoire includes Andrew Lloyd Webber to Bach, Gershwin to World War 2 songs. We have sung for Prince Phillip at the VE Day celebrations in Southsea.
