  • Beekeepers Association (Petersfield & District)
    It promotes the craft of Beekeeping and offers practical training at its apiary to new Beekeepers. It educates the public to the benefits of Bees in the environment by giving talks to interested groups and by mounting displays at rural and craft fairs. It can arrange swarm collection. Social events include garden party, BBQ and Christmas Dinner. Annual Honeyshow at a local village hall each September to which the public are invited.

    Advice and mutual support for all members. Newsletters and information from our association, Hampshire Beekeepers and the British Beekeepers' Association. Bee disease and Public Liability Insurance included in the annual subscription.

    Monthly winter meetings with speakers on beekeeping topics. Regular (April-September) meetings at our Association Apiary. Practical 'hands on' beekeeping with the emphasis of passing on experience to newcomers to the hobby, and learning for all.     Various speakers on subjects of interest, not solely beekeeping. No formal taught courses, free advice and swarms taken. Winter meetings at Itchen Abbas, summer meetings at members' apiaries.
