HantsAstro offer Astronomy classes for beginners which will show them how to choose the right telescope, how to set it up correctly and maintain it and easy to sport targets in the night sky. They also offer Astrophotography (imaging) classes teaching you the technology and various telescope set-ups. The class also covers webcam, DSLR and CCD imaging.
Both classes are held once a month at Petersfield Community Centre - please go to - hantsastro.org/class for more information.

The society has eight telescopes, 200 books, 1000 slides and videos available for loan to members.
There is a monthly meeting with a talk as well as monthly observing evenings and a monthly informal meeting.
