We hold tea parties in 19 locations in Hampshire, once a month, 12 months a year. Volunteer drivers collect 1-2 elderly people and take them to a volunteer hosts home for tea and socialising.

Relief car drivers required in the Ferndown, Bournemouth and Christchurch areas occasionally on a Sunday afternoon. Relief drivers needed a few times a year to cover when regular ones are on holiday or sick. Hostesses required for tea parties once a year.

Good Companions Social Club (Hedge End)
If we are successful in obtaining an evening at our local community centre, we would like to run Line Dancing and Sequence Dancing, which will enable the elderly to have some form of weekly exercise and enjoyment at the same time. We do stay in touch with our members when they are not well, or taken into hospital by way of our Welfare Committee members. We also endeavour to keep in touch with our member's families.

Good Neighbours - Hampshire
We have volunteers who use their own cars to take people to and from hospital, GP and other health appointments. Some groups do shopping, offer befriending or run lunch/coffee clubs; some will do dog walking, change a light bulb, put up a shelf, tune a TV, change a library book or DVD; some have minibuses for outings and trips - generally they offer small practical bits of help for people of all ages. It is always worth asking a Good Neighbour group if it can help you.

Day centre operates 3 days a week for 18 persons per day. They are collected and taken home by voluntary transport. Coffee/tea and biscuits on arrival, lunch is cooked on the premises.
