Chithurst Buddhist Monastery
The Monastery is a private residence for monks (bhikkhus) & nuns (siladhara) but members of public are welcome to visit. There are no scheduled retreats, lectures or classes, but people can stay as guests and participate in daily life of the monastery, or attend the daily meditation at 7.30pm. Talks on meditation or other aspects of Buddhism are given on most weekends after the meditation. Ethnic Theravadans (from Thailand, Burma, Sri Lanka, Laos and Cambodia) may be interested in coming to offer the daily meal at 11.00am.
