Aims and objectives:
To conserve for the public benefit the area known as Woodland Park, Hungerford, Bursledon. The advancement of public education in woodland, wildlife, the environment, the countryside and its heritage.
Services and activities offered:
We are a registered charity owning & managing a small area of woodland adjacent to Pilands Wood, Bursledon. With financial support from County & Borough Councils we are making this woodland accessible to the public while conserving it for the future. Two footbridges have been built across the stream & informal paths cleared to the central glade. The level of enhancement is minimal and the emphasis will be on conserving the wood. Local people are involved in the management committee and it is hoped that volunteer input will foster a feeling of pride in the area.
