Aims and objectives:
To study and disseminate the history and archaeology of the lower Test Valley.
Services and activities offered:
Historical and Archaeological research in Lower Test Valley. Annual programme includes talks, guided visits and weekly workshops. Help given to schools and other organisations. Results of research published both to members and the general public. Twice monthly public lectures. Twice weekly workshops. The Friends of Botley Road Cemetery are part of the LTVAS Group.
Restrictions:
There are stairs to the room where we hold our workshops and to the room in King John's House with no lifts etc
Special needs catered for:
Town Hall public meetings usually in Court Room -
no steps or stairs. Cannot make alternative provision for either basement workshops or meetings at King Johns House. In Town Hall we insist that speakers use the PA system which has an induction loop.
Charges:
£10 Adult; £16 Family; £6 full time students.
Non members asked to donate £2 at our public meetings. No charge at workshop sessions.
Times:
Workshops: Town Hall basement Monday 10.00am-12noon and Tuesdays 7.30-9.30pm. Lectures: 2nd Monday Town Hall 8.00pm; Tuesday (Winter) King John's House 10.30am; 4th Thursday Town Hall at 8.00pm.
