Aims and objectives:
Southampton Art Society was established in 1885 to further the interests of artists in the Southampton area and to provide opportunities for them to exhibit their work.
Services and activities offered:
The Society aims to mount at least two exhibitions per year where members, and on occasions other artists, may display and perhaps sell their work. We hold social evenings with demonstations of art techniques, critiques of members works, and lectures in the history of painting/sculpture. During the Summer some of our members paint outdoors at various locations in the town and countryside.
Restrictions:
Anyone of any age with an interest in the fine arts can join the Society.
Special needs catered for:
We endeavour to accommodate all people with special needs and would happily discuss individual requirements.

Annual membership fee £20 to pay for our meeting rooms, stationery and other venues etc, and receive a regular newsletter and programme of events. Visitors fee £3.00 per meeting.
