Aims and objectives:
The Sports Council exists to promote sport in the North West of East Hampshire, (70 sports clubs, 18 Parish Councils and Alton Town Council areas). Grants received from East Hampshire District Council, Local Councils, donations, and affiliation fees.
Services and activities offered:
Advice to clubs arranging annual achievement awards to club members who have done well during the year, to enable them to maintain their sporting excellence. Arranging achievement awards and sporting events in our area. Advice to EHDC on sports matters and attendance at Compact and other meetings. Putting forward sports men and women to the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Awards annually. Awarding small grants for sporting needs.

Times:
Normal meetings at 7.30 pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays 4 times per year. Otherwise meetings are arranged as needed. Services available from officers at any time. Most meetings are held at The Chawton Park Indoor Bowling Club in Alton.
