Description

Aims and objectives: We aim to provide a wide variety of learning & leisure opportunities and offer a fun, relaxing environment, helping you to achieve your goals.

Services and activities offered: Courses, workshops and activities are available for adults, families and children. Our programme includes: art, IT, cookery, languages, fitness, genealogy & photography - to name but a few! We also have a specilist computer centre for all skill levels and abilites. We provide excellent accommodation, access and specilist facilities and equipment for learners with difficulties and disabilities. Our facilities are available to hire for clubs and groups including Sports Hall, gymnasium, main hall & IT suite.

Restrictions: The campus has an open access policy and each enquiry is treated individually, so needs are met. However, all adult education courses are age 19+.

Special needs catered for: Applications can be made through HCC to support learners with special needs. The DDPA is followed closely and adaptive, ramp and access is available in most rooms. A member of staff will speak with the person/carer and discuss exact needs and how they can participate on a course.

Charges: A course fee is payable for the majority of our courses. If you are in receipt of a qualifying Means Tested Benefit you can claim a 50% fee remission on most courses. We are currently offering a 25% discount on most courses for learners age 60+.

Times: Office hours (term-time) Mon - Thurs 9.00am - 3.00pm & 6.00 - 9.00pm and Friday 9.00am - 3.00pm. Restricted office hours apply during school holidays. Community activities also include weekends.
