Did you know that there are around half a million voluntary and community organisations in the UK*, of which about 70% are active at a local level? And they are all committed and passionate about what they do.
Hampshire and the Isle of Wight benefit from the work and activities of a rich variety of voluntary and community organisations. There are thousands of groups and individuals contributing to giving their communities a better quality of life. But how can you find out about them?
e.VOLve is a database of voluntary and community organisations serving Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. Whether you want to find out about voluntary and community groups because you:
- are looking for some support;
- want to volunteer; or,
- join in a local community activity;
then e.VOLve will help you find out WHO is doing WHAT and WHERE.
If you work for a public sector agency, it can help you find out about voluntary and community groups with whom you could work in partnership.
Businesses can find out what is happening in their local communities that they might be able to support.
e.VOLve has around 5000 entries and is growing all the time. By bringing all this information into one place, it will become clear just how great a contribution our local voluntary and community groups are making.
Look out for news updates about how e.VOLve is growing and changing.
