  • RNIB National Library Service
    RNIB National Library Service offer support for blind and partially sighted readers and is involved in campaigning work for life-long learning, work and pleasure in accessible formats. We provide a library service with over 30,000 titles in Braille, Giant print and unabridged audio. We also work closely with public libraries so that people with sight loss can continue to enjoy using their local library.

  • Solent Writers' Group
    We are a friendly bunch of men and women who love the written word, whether in stories, articles or verse. We have 4 competitions each year for a cash prize or token and offer help with writing, competitions and have guest speakers. Free parking and a subsidised bar.

  • Southern Bookcrafts Club
    The club is a self help group of amateur bookbinders who meet weekly to carry out book binding and restoration projects. Members support one another by sharing their experience as well as some materials and larger equipment. Newcomers to bookbinding are offered a progressive programme of projects.
