To help bring an understanding of gay issues to families and others.
Services and activities offered:
"Acceptance" was established in 1987 and is a helpline and supportive organisation for parents and families of gay people. Founded and run by parents of a gay son there is total empathy at this sometimes difficult time. It is hoped that with help and better understanding a more positive outcome can be achieved.
Restrictions:
Available mainly to parents and families of Homosexuals but also to professional bodies.
Charges:
Only newsletter subscription currently £7 per year and £2.50 + SAE for information pack.
Times:
Helpline Tuesday to Friday 7.00pm to 9.00pm
